Experience matters…

I have years of experience photographing models and building their portfolios. In fact, by my count, as of today 10/7/2023, I have photographed 665 models. Many have gone on to professional work.

What does all that experience mean to you? It means that i have the experience and knowledge to guide you to build a stronger portfolio. I can help you choose wardrobe, develop style, and help you avoid some big pitfalls in the industry.

My style is more style and fashion and less fantasy and concept. Stuff to get you noticed.

So, just what is “almost TFP”?

Trade For Prints (TFP) is a term held over from before digital when a photographer would give prints to a model in trade for her modeling for him/her. Sometimes it is shortened to “TF” or even just “trade”.

This was fair for models starting out and for inexperienced photographers. By trading each could get something they needed. The model got prints to help him/her get work and the photographer got a model to sit for him. This was usually a fair trade.

I have now built portfolios for over 650 models of every age and gender. I do not need new images to build a saleable portfolio.

So I offer “Almost TFP”. I charge a nominal fee of $50. I will not reserve a booking before the booking fee is received.

What do you get? Well for starters, over 12 years and over 650 models worth of experience. You get a pre shoot planning consultation where we discuss wardrobe, hair and makeup, and start putting together a mood board. You get a45-50 minute shoot where I guide you as to posing, facial expression, and other points that can help you create poses and moods that agencies and casting directors like. After your session I will carefully choose 10-12 images and hand edit them and build you a gallery where you can download full resolution files and use digitally in your social media and modeling portfolio.

What don’t you get?

Headshots. Headshots are a part of the staple of my business. I do not offer them for free. I offer models/actors headshots for $85 which is less than half my normal fee.

Copyright. As the creator/photographer I am the copyright owner. You cannot sell or give rights to use the photos to anyone other than you. No commercial use. Further, you may not alter the image other than resizing them. You cannot change color, apply a filter, crop, or otherwise edit or change the image.
